Things to Notice
Scale

Using the preset values of the sliders, the simulation in the upper-left corner is an exact, to-scale representation of the Earth-Moon system. The distance between them really is that large!

High Tides

On the graph, every second peak is slightly smaller, and that's not a bug! The tides on the side of the Earth opposite the Moon really are a bit weaker. Also, the tidal cycle repeats every 24 hours and 50 minutes rather than exactly 24 hours. This is because the Moon moves slightly along its orbit while the "city" completes one full rotation, so the next exact alignment happens a bit later than a standard Earth day.
